Hi all, Welcome to the Catalogers Listserv! Whether you are new to cataloging or you can recall MARC fields in your sleep, we are happy to have you as a part of our community. The goal of this listserv is to create a community for all catalogers (and those who catalog) of the state. A place where training resources can be shared and questions can be communally posed and answered. India and Amy are cataloging librarians at the Utah State Library. Originally from Wisconsin, India proudly considers herself a Badger. She loves details, reading, and watching hockey. Amy grew up in New York and Illinois, and has worked at six libraries across the state of Utah. She loves reading audiobooks, hiking with her dog, and crafting. We wanted to kick things off by sharing some resources from the American Library Association’s Core Interest Group week <https://www.ala.org/core/continuing-education/interest-group-week>. This event happened the first week of March, and all of the sessions are available as free recordings. A large portion of them relate to cataloging and technical services. We have already watched a few and found them to be applicable to daily work in technical services.
